A Bit About Me
Based in Maryland and DC, I have spent 8 years developing my skill set, with the goal of providing quality care services to every person I encounter.
My compassion and love for people is what has driven me to pursue an associate’s degree in human services, a bachelor’s degree in social work at Coppin State University and a master’s degree in social work at Morgan State University with a concentration on Urban Youth and families.

I specialize in working with children, youth, adults and families impacted by trauma. My extensive background in mental health and trauma has prepared me with the skills necessary to manage most crisis and individual traumatic experiences. I am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and integrate both psycho-education and skills-based techniques to help clients function at their optimal best.

My area of expertise is mental health.

My specialty areas include Trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, depression, relational issues, social problems and mood changes. I have spent my entire clinical career delivering high quality mental health services to individuals and families.
My goal is to help you uncover your full potential to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. While we cannot change difficult situations of the past, together we can learn about it and use that knowledge to better understand and resolve any challenges.

By applying evidenced-based therapeutic approaches and techniques, we will discover long standing behavior patterns and that may be interfering with your ability to lead a meaningful life.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into specific challenges you are facing. With compassion and understanding, I will meet you where you are. I will provide a personalized approach tailored to help you build on your strengths and attain the balance and growth you are committed to accomplishing.

Beginning the therapy process is a big step! My approach to treatment is collaborative, and I spend quality time focused on building a therapeutic alliance. Understanding the importance of attentive listening and empowering through the delivery of strength based, impactful and supportive services is essential to the therapeutic process. Clients are able to attend sessions and ensure that we are a good fit and through this, the therapeutic relationship evolves.
